In 1944, a down-on-his-luck ex-soldier and a wartime nurse follow whispered maps to Black Marsh's fabled gold, only to find the swamp itself and the abandoned county asylum bristling with old curses and modern horrors. Phosphorescent footpaths, moss-clad crosses, and feverish patients’ journals merge with rationed courage and wireless static as each treasure clue awakens spectral physicians and the land’s jealous dead.
