Sunfire and the Atom Men

In this pulp chronicle set on the eve of a new science, a monstrous solar flare batters Earth’s wireless networks and galvanizes the very atoms of men. Lab astronomers and intrepid aviators confront a creeping metamorphosis: ordinary citizens sprout luminous organs, strange powers, and terrible appetites. As radium-scented laboratories race to unravel an "atomic" secret, heroes pilot bark-like airships into blinding corona to reverse the mutation or harness it for civilization. A fevered tale of spark, science and spectacle—equal parts lecture-room theory and cliff-hanger melodrama, imagining the dawning Atomic Age through 1930’s wide-eyed wonder.
