Nightmare on the Iron Express
In 1948, a government lab's crude 'somnograph' - a vacuum-tube contraption claiming to map and enter dreams - is the last hope when an armed saboteur uses a psychic technique to commandeer a northbound steam express. A washed-up psychoanalyst, a radar engineer, and a young telepath board the hurtling train to study and invade the saboteur's dreams, fighting collapsing sleepers, scorched rails, and their own night terrors. It's a wartime chemistry of steam and electrodes: survival depends on waking the sleepers, breaking the dream-raid, and choosing whether to seize minds to save lives.
