Outpost Nine and the Fogbeast

On a battered Pacific atoll in autumn 1945, a skeleton crew of G.I.s and a shell‑shocked captain hold Outpost Nine against ravenous, radium‑glowing mutants born of secret wartime experiments. When local villagers whisper of a great cryptid — a fog‑shrouded “beast of the reefs” — a radio operator and a cynical war correspondent lead a midnight hunt.
