Highway Patrol: The Static Signal
In 1955, a battered Highway Patrol crew patrols the atomic-scarred byways. After a night of flicker and snow, a regional television transmitter begins spitting impossible images—test patterns bleeding into moaning landscapes. The 'broadcast' bends radio waves into doorways; drivers vanish; roadside diners fill with static specters. Captain Roy Delgado and his men chase a moving signal across the wasteland, tuning vacuum-tube radios and jury-rigging transmitters to close the rift before the whole nation snaps to black. A pulp road saga where Cold War fear meets television's new magic.
