Derailment on the Phantom Line
1971 — a rust‑belt line becomes a graveyard: midnight derailments leave intact coaches full of vanished passengers, scorched occult sigils on the sleepers. Elias Ward, a hard-bitten private eye turned occult investigator, follows oil-streaked rails through smoky towns, basement séances, and psychedelic poster‑strewn cafés. As Nixon-era newspapers mutter conspiracies and industrialists silence witnesses, Ward discovers the derailments are bound to an ancient ritual and a sabotaged government experiment. Trains, tarot and transistor radios collide in a noir‑occult chase to stop a phantom timetable that refuses to end.
