Skyscraper Gorilla: Night of Graft

When the skyline shudders under a skyscraper-sized ape, fed by exotic fury and city fright, gumshoe Jack Marlowe smells more than fur and gasoline. Between smoky speakeasies and buzzing newsreel booths, he follows a trail of graft: crooked aldermen, a ring of racketeers and a cage hidden in an East River pier. A hardboiled chase through Art Deco canyons, radio crackle and flashbulb panic unravels a plot to use the beast as a mobile battering ram for bank jobs—and a city’s desperate hope of salvation or ruin.
