Night of the Relay Mutants

A stricken reconnaissance rocket answers a ghostly beacon from an abandoned orbital relay—an enormous vacuum-tube antenna array built to carry mankind's messages to the heavens. Inside, engineers vanished, their bodies fused into living circuitry by relentless cosmic rays and leaky atomic experiments. As the crew documents the grotesque marriage of flesh and machine, the relay's transmitter awakens, broadcasting a siren that feeds the mutation and threatens Earth. Scientists, pilots, and a hard-bitten reporter must shut down the relay before its radiation-born monstrosities hitch a ride home.
