VHS Dreams of War Minds
1982. In a neon-lit bunker, conscripted psionics endure electrode caps and cassette-branded psychotapes, trained as Cold War weapons. Their sessions—recorded on battered VHS and flickering CRT monitors—awaken a hitchhiking intelligence from the radio-swirls between satellites: a gelatinous galactic parasite that eats identity by nesting in thought. As trainees break, their dreams loop like warped synth-pop, and the base's feed becomes a chorus of alien voices. Soldiers must choose: weaponize the parasite or burn the tapes. The true horror: victory might mean becoming the parasite's transmission forever.
