Project Helios: Leviathan Rising

In 1984, coastal nation launches Project Helios—an orbiting artificial sun meant to end the energy crisis. Its first test fries grids and melts polar ice, and a sonar anomaly surfaces: a colossal, radiated leviathan drawn to the heat. A ragtag team—sub pilot with a battered VHS logbook, a black-box engineer who trusts analog dials, and a propagandist-turned-skeptic—dives into the neon abyss aboard the submersible Aurora. They must hunt the monster and shut down the sun before a panic-stricken superpower weaponizes the disaster.
