Bog Witch and the Doubles
In 1960s Louisiana, a resurrected swamp witch walks again—awakened by clandestine 'replication' research at a government-run mosquito colony. As the town's manufactured doubles begin to fail, bodies appear in the bayou and the scientists vanish. A hard-bitten reporter and a church nurse chase folklore and lab notes, unraveling an atom-age experiment that mixed voodoo, tissue replication, and Cold War paranoia. The final revelation pits modern science against old curses: which will outlive the other when the colony collapses?
